FIRE - FUNDRAISING FOR IMPACT REWARD EXPERIENCE

After 4 years of no rhino poaching in the Eastern Cape, 2023 is already the worst year on record, by far. 13 rhino have been killed already, the youngest just 5 months old! The anti-poaching teams, and all reserve staff, are patrolling 24/7. Advanced trackers have been placed on as many rhino as possible and more drones are in the sky. But until the poachers are caught, the deaths will continue. We also need to ensure that more poachers do not become active.

The rhino, and their custodians, need your support.

You can support them by joining the Be Moved Safari Marathon through a R5000 donation to the Amakhala Foundation, or by earning an Entry as a FundRunner by raising a minimum of R7 500 for the Foundation on GivenGain.

We will assist you to set up a campaign in GivenGain, with The Amakhala Foundation as the beneficary. Share the poaching situation with your community – get your friends, family, company – behind your campaign to support the work on the ground. This requires drive, passion and committed dedication – FIRE. But it is far from impossible. The Be Moved Safari Marathon began life known as the Addo2Fish, borne out of a desire to share the dream of free-roaming wildlife and biodiversity restoration with a worldwide running community. The new branding focuses on the emotional journey that is associated with such an impactful experience, one that is so much more than just a run.

If you reach your fundraising target, you will be running or walking at The Be Moved Safari Marathon.

There is also the opportunity to be invited to spend the Be Moved Safari Marathon weekend on Amakhala with the passionate rhino warrior, Dr William Fowlds. You will have earned this rare privilege.
